We arrived in the capital of Ukraine after a three hour flight to Lviv and a short one hour flight to Kiev. The runways were bumpy and the take offs and landings were a bit rough, but the flight attendants were friendly and warm. Going through customs was easy, except for Bruce who used a green pen to fill out his form... the clerk underlined for him the dircctions for using a black or blue pen and sent him back.

Once through, our luggage awaited us as did our two beautiful friends. We spotted them right away in the crowd of people... they were waving yellow and blue flags and were wearing scarves of the same color which they put around our necks. Great long hugs and kisses all around, and we were wisked into a waiting cab for a short drive to our hotel.
