They woke us early for our 6am arrival in Nepropitrof. (I will edit that spelling later) We had to use the restrooms before we got into town because you know where it flushes... They came by to offer us tea in these pretty glass mugs in metal holders.

Finally, Iryna told me that she was really sleeping in the cabin next to us, and nobody would have to sleep on the floor. Ukrainian humor, I love it! We put a soft pad on the bed and paid for sheets and a pillow case. There was also a hand towel. Bruce loved the fabric and wanted a shirt made out of it.

We girls sat on the narrow beds of the cabin, waiting for the train to move so that we could cool off. I was feeling pretty claustophobic by then, thinking of sleeping on the floor.

Bruce and Robert try to get some fresh air, which was only slightly less warm than the air in our cabin. They knew they would not be the ones to have to sleep on the floor. I was pretty sure it would be me!

Late at night we took the subway to the train station. The evening was sultry and still. Iryna and Natalia told us there would be five of us sleeping in one cabin. One of us would have to sleep on the floor.
