Our morning began with a Ukrainian breakfast of a variety of foods including beets, eggs, cabbage and carrot salad, meats, cheese, and bread. We then walked across the street and through a lovely park to get to the subway station. Before I was warned not to use my camera in the subway, I snapped this photo of the swarm of people going down into the station. Once there, we had to take two of the longest, steepest escalators I have ever been on. It was incredible. You could not see the top nor the bottom once you got going. It went really fast with lots of people to look at and advertising to try to interpret along the way.
