Here we are with our babushkas on our heads. This was necessary for us to enter some holy caves at a monastary where holy monks where entombed in glass coffins. We lit candles to carry before entering. There were low narrow walkways with small alcoves containing these coffins. All of the remains were covered with woven and embroidered cloths. Candles hung above them casting a red glow in the niche and on the painting of the "saint" you were viewing. Many people were praying and kissing the glass of the coffins and you had to wait, hoping your candle wouldn't go out for lack of oxygen.
